I use mainly three kinds of programs, that is, the word processor, homepage maker, and English-Japanese/Japanese-English translation program. However the homepage maker and translation program had not been installed in my new computer. So I bought two programs.

Homepage maker: I can write my webpage with the installed word processor. But I dislike using the word processor because it creates automatically unnecessary many complex tags, and makes a big file.The construction of my webpages is simple. So if I use the installed text editor, I can rewrite the old webpage.But If I destroy the html formats by accident, the recovery of the html fformats is very troublesome. So I went to an electric appliance store and ordered a cheap program to a sales-person. He brought a great box of a program, which contained two thick manuals, and said "We have only this program. You will be able to easily manage this." The price was 9,000 yen.
I thought it was too good quality for me. But I changed my mind, "The greater embraces the less," and bought it. As I thought, the new program irritated me until I was used to using it. As I get used to using it, now I feel it convenient and useful.
Especially I like the two functions; the word processor and text editor. I can edit the webpage visually with the word processor function and edit the webpage in detail (html level) with the text editor function.
Translation Program: At the same store, I bought a translation program for 3,000 yen. The program had no manual but I was able to use it easily because it resembled very much to a program that I had used before.
The procedure of making my English version webpage is similar to the programming procedure. I write my webpage in Japanese first. This process resembles to drawing the flow chart. The logical construction is completed almost at this step.
If I input Japanese to the translation program, translated English will be outputted. But I translate my Japanese webpage into English without the translation program because I have no self confidence to evaluating the English translated by the program.
So the English written by me is translated into Japanese with the translation program. Until I am convinced that the translated Japanese is reasonable, I repeat rewriting the English.
This process resembles to debugging of program. When I had changed a verb or a preposition and translated Japanese became fluent, my feeling is just same as success in debugging. I find sometimes logical errors in my Japanese webpage at this step. Then I rewrite the Japanese webpage.
Anyway, my Japanese-English translation is getting faster, and I am satisfied with this program. When the two programs began to work, I felt enormous pleasure, and now I am enjoying using them. However I seem apparently old-fashioned. Young people probably say "Storing many programs in a personal computer is old-fashioned. Today is the age of the SaaS (Software as a Service.) "
