SGC is independently financed only by the
donation of members. The donation is based
on a unique system which is called PEACE
TAX. PEACE TAX is a private tax system. Minimum
tax payment is 300 yen/month (almost equivalent
to a cup of coffee) and tax payers can decide
how much they will pay. Taxing is automatically
done each month by using the computerized
transfer system of post office account. While
we can use money for budget, the magic of
the exchange rate can make it as much as
ten times to a hundred times as valuable
in certain countries as it is in Japan. We
take positive advantage of this magic. The
steering committee discuss as what kind of
projects we will promote and how we will
spend the PEACE TAX.
