Hello Gang,
I hope you boys and girls are doing well as always. I have been
working away on a few projects including a new album, PURE 2
and 415 music & video (The fans that were at the Mystic saw
8 camera's shooting the show, you all know that most of you are
on camera...you look great.) Denise and I have been pretty busy
these many months taking care of our boys, Dylan & Jake,
so our lives are definitely in the balance with rock and roll
and Parenthood. The EMB is gearing up for a handful of summer
shows; we will be doing mostly songs from records that I have
never been played before, a few new ones and a couple of golden
oldies. Our friend Matt Isola (Hangman's Daughter) will be taking
GiGi's place on drums for the Paladino's show in LA. And the
Novato Art & Wine festival while Mr. Gonaway is away on business.
GiGi (my brother will be back). There has been some talk about
the boys and I going to South America in the next couple of months
but it hasn't been confirmed yet, I will definitely keep you
posted.
I had a wonderful time at the
Sweetwater a few weeks ago, I am so comfortable in that type
of surrounding, just my acoustic guitar and my good friend of
many years Pat Gilles backing me up with his arsenal of guitar
and ukulele. I was on the bill with friends Austin Willacy and
Rob Lamothe. Both of these guys are awesome singers; I thought
we all made a great team. Check out Austin's site for his music

) to listen to his new album "Long Lazy Curve". Now
most of you remember that I called it when Gavin DeGraw's record
came out, I said that this guy was wonderful.... well Rob Lamothe's
new CD is hands down my favorite of the year and not because
I know the guy. Granted he as a soulful voice but his colorful
and moody lyrics slay me. This dude has been around a long time
but with a little help from a friend or a bunch of friends or
a cornucopia of friend's that have money that have been saving
it for a rainy day.... This is your rainy day.
My fan/friends that came to the show really lit a spark under
my keester, thanks for a great night boys and girls. Also double
thanks for all those reviews about the show, your beautiful words
keep me smiling and make me proud to be with you" (Sorry
I couldn't resist). PG and I put together some footage that my
wife Denise and her friend Christy shot from the performance.
For those of you that didn't make it here's a little taste. .
It's about 7 minutes long we hope you dig it. Check out those
two tall guys standing next to me on "Wild World"!
Here's a little something from the grapevine, MR. BIG (You remember
these guys right?) will be releasing an album of live material
from various shows over the years, I don't know when it will
come out but it will be released in the near future. We are all
compiling songs for this project right now. I have to admit I'm
pretty excited about it and I know that the fans will be as well.
May 28th Memorial Day weekend I will be joining my good friend
and songwriting partner Andre Pessis on stage as he leads his
Rockhestra" Andre's all-stars" in a fun filled afternoon
at the Muir Beach volunteer fire department BBQ.
For you San Francisco Bay area fans check out the Independent
Journal newspaper Memorial Day weekend (5/25/06) for a story
on the kid (Ok so I'm not a kid anymore but my heart tells me
different).
